Sheridan participates in diabetes awareness

In the spirit of diabetes awareness month, representatives from the Halton Diabetes Program came to the Sheridan College Trafalgar Campus for the first time last Thursday to set up a free interactive information booth on diabetes in the B Wing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m.

Students and staff had the opportunity to get their glucose levels checked, view samples of insulin pumps, and have their questions on diabetes answered by professionals. Students who stopped by the booth were also given the chance to participate in a draw for two mini iPads and a $50 bookstore gift voucher.
