The wars that brought the world to its knees

The two world wars saw some of the bloodiest fighting the world had ever seen. It introduced new advanced technology, marked the beginning of chemical warfare and nuclear weapons. 2014 is a special year, for it marks the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War One, as well as the 75th anniversary of World War Two. In honour of this, these infographics show the important battles that took place in both of the wars.
