The impact of international students on Sheridan and the economy

During the 2014-’15 year at Sheridan College, a total of 38,413 students were enrolled full time. Of those students, 6,609 were international students. Despite the fact they represented only 17% of the student body, international students accounted for almost half (45.7%) of Sheridan’s tuition revenue.

This might come as a surprise to some students, but education, and more specifically international education, has become a huge business in Canada. Let’s take a deeper look at the numbers and see how international students are impacting Canada.
